Dominating victory in softball tainted by shut-out loss to arch rival in soccer

Intramural Softball:

In the second to last game of the season, the intramural softball team, led by seniors Adam Johnson, Fall 2003, and Matthew Wavrek, Winter 2005, triumphed over Team "Magnum" 15-5.

Johnson, a Mechanical Engineering Technology student from Canton, CT, hit a solo home run in the third inning.

Second baseman Wavrek, a Mechanical Engineering student from Dover, OH, came through in the fifth inning snagging a ground ball to the left of second base and making the throw to first for the final out of the game, ending due to the mercy rule.

The final game of the season is next Sunday, May 11th, 2008 at the Turf Field.

Intramural Soccer:

With rookie goalie Associate Member Jessie Maceda in the net, the intramural soccer team lost a heart breaker to arch rival Phi Kappa Psi 4-0.

The last game of the season is next Sunday, May 11th, 2008 at the SLC Field House.
